Stampington & Company publishes the largest number of niche magazines in the art and crafting industry, with more than 1 million copies sold annually. They currently produce over 30 high-quality titles focusing on crafts such as mixed-media, paper crafting, and both wearable and digital arts. With premium newsstand placement and representation in all major bookstores, crafting chains, upscale grocery stores, and hundreds of independent art and crafting stores, Stampington & Company’s publications have become synonymous with quality in design, production, content, and photography. The company also maintains a strong presence in the online crafting supply market offering more than 3,000 art and craft products and a wide variety of self-manufactured art stamps that are sold on their website, which receives more than 20 million hits per month.

In 1994, Kellene Giloff, Founder and President, realized there was a need for a full-color magazine dedicated to inspiring artwork for rubber stamp artists. The Stampers’ Sampler was born with a mere 20 pages of artwork submitted by stampers throughout the world. Realizing a need for more advanced artwork that encompassed mixed-media with stamping, Giloff created Somerset Studio, a publication that revolutionized the industry and quickly became the flagship magazine for the company. From there, the company continued to spin off a variety of periodicals that quickly broadened their market.

Stampington & Company’s philosophy of directing publications towards niche, enthusiast markets has allowed them to creat a variety of unique titles featuring some of the top designers and artists in their fields. Somerset Studio itself has spun off 12 artful lifestyle, scrapbooking, art journaling, home décor, and digital art. The success of Where Women Create, a collaboration with Jo Packham, has warranted a cooking edition called Where Women Cook, which launched in December 2010. Belle Armoire, the company’s wearable arts magazine, has spun off jewelry, handbag and altered clothing titles. The company has also created two successful art doll publications and maintains a strong presence in the card-making industry. Other unique titles include periodicals dedicated to quilting, eco-friendly crafting, artistic blogging, stuffed creatures, artistic adventures with children and aprons. With an emphasis on quality production, photography and design, Stampington & Company has won several Gold Ink awards and maintains multiple top-selling positions on the newsstands.
